What kind of services do the Hang Seng e-Banking offer?

Does Hang Seng e-Banking offer 24-hour services?
Yes. Hang Seng e-Banking service is available
24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, certain banking
transaction cut-off times apply and some transaction instructions
received after standard working hours will be handled on the
next working day. For further details, please refer to the relevant
terms contained in the account transfer and time deposit documents.

What requirement do I have to fulfill to register the Hang Seng Personal e-Banking services?
Simply open a personal account in any of our branch/sub-branch and you can enjoy this service. However, joint account with signature instruction of ‘joint signature’ is not included in this service at the moment. |

Are there any charges for using Hang Seng Personal e-Banking?
No. This service is free of charge. However, there will be charges on individual transaction such as remittance to overseas bank, inter-city transfer or intra-province remittance, and apply for cheque book. |

What should I do if I forgot the electronic banking password?
You may call the Customer Service Hotline, contact our Customer Service Representatives or visit any of our branch to re-apply the electronic banking password. |

What will happen if I have input incorrect information during the log-on process?
If you input wrong information, e.g. an incorrect
EBN or PIN, the system will prompt you to re-input the information.
However, if you input an incorrect PIN three times in a row,
you will be unable to access the system and will have to call
our Customer Service Hotline or contact our
Customer Service Representatives. |

How long can I enquire my transaction history?
You may enquire about your transaction history
for the past two bank statement cycles. |

Can remittance transfer to different currency account?
Currently, e-banking is only applicable to same currency remittance instruction. If you would like to transfer the remittance to a different currency account, please visit any of our branches in person. |
All remittance services are bounded by regulations of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. (SAFE) |

Can I transfer different currencies
or transfer to different account type?
Currently, e-banking is only applicable to same currency type and same account type transfer. If you would like to conduct different currency type or different account type transfer, please visit any of our branches in person. |

What is the transfer limit?
The maximum daily accumulated 3rd party transfer limit is RMB 1 million (or equivalent foreign currency) for personal e-Banking. This limit is only applicable to:

As of 31st Dec 2015, all CNY remittances to other local banks and overseas banks will be free of charge. Fees (if any) charged by agent or other intermediary are excluded.

Prestige Banking Account

Are there any charges in opening a Prestige Banking Account?
This account is free of charge. Customers will need to fulfill the account opening requirement and keep a minimum account balance of RMB300,000 or above with the bank to open an account. |

Will there be any account management fee if the account balance is below RMB300,000 or equivalent after opening the account?
From 1 JUL 2014, if your account balance falls below minimum total balance requirement (CNY300,000 or its equivalent), a monthly fee of CNY100 will be levied. |

Are there any charges in using the prestigious service at the Prestige Banking Centers?
No. This is
an exclusive service for all Prestige Banking customers. |

4. |
If the
customer holds banking accounts at several branches/sub-branches of Hang Seng Bank (China)
and a Hong Kong branch, is it possible to have a consolidated account
balance?
No.The total balance will only reflect
the total balance held at each individual branch/ sub-branch. |

Will all the accounts of the same branch be
calculated and listed on the consolidated Monthly Statement?
All the
accounts opened the same identification number will be calculated and listed on
the Consolidated Monthly Statement. |

Can I upgrade to Prestige Banking Account if I
have maintained an account with your Bank?
Yes. Our
Bank can consolidate all the existing bank accounts for the customer and
upgrade to Prestige Banking Account to avoid any troubles in re-opening the
accounts. Please also upgrade your debit card to Prestige Debit Card to enjoy special privileges . |

Will all the multiple foreign currency accounts
be automatically set up once the Prestige Banking Account is opened?
Prestige
Banking Account is an integrated account. Once the customer deposit the money, our Bank will act according to
customer instructions of the deposit and currency types and set up the relevant
accounts or time deposits. No
additional account opening procedures are required on the new set up account
and deposit. |

What kind of account services can the customer
enjoy if they visit the Hong Kong Prestige Banking Centres?
In
principle, our Bank welcomes all Prestige Banking customers to visit any of our
Prestige Banking Centres in Hong Kong. Customers can enquire the banking services in Hong Kong from the
Customer Relationship Manager, or simply enjoy a coffee break and read magazine
at the lounges. |

Can customers enjoy the exclusive counter
services in the Hong Kong Prestige Banking Centres?
Customers
may not handle his/her accounts within Hang Seng Bank (China) via the Hong Kong branch counter.
However, customers may enjoy the priority counter services in note exchange or
any other Hong Kong branches banking services upon presentation of the Prestige
Banking Account card. |

Banking
Privileges may be updated in accordance with the market conditions of relevant
product/service to ensure the best interest of customers. Customers can enquire
the latest promotion offers from customer relationship managers or any branch

What are Notes Account and Exchange Account?
Exchange Account is used for remittance or demand draft or cheques from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau or outside of Mainland China. |
Notes Account is used for foreign currency notes deposit. |

Does one has to be aged 18 or above to be eligible to open a foreign currency account?
Mainland Chinese residents must aged
16 or above with valid ID to be eligible to open a foreign currency
account. |
Foreign passport holder or HKSAR, Macau or Taiwan residents must aged 18 or above and possess an effective personal identity card to be eligible to open a foreign currency account. |

Currently, we do not offer cheque services for Personal Foreign Currency Account. |

How can I deposit my money into my Foreign Currency Account in your Bank?
You may deposit your money into your Foreign Currency Account via Foreign Currency cash deposit, foreign currency cheques, foreign currency remittances, fund transfer and telegraphic transfer. |

of signature?
When issuing personal cheques, the customer
can use signature, chop or both, all of which are deemed acceptable.
